Thank LeBron For Your Weekend

We take a break from our extended summer vacation to share some summer joy with you.  After the jump, a LeBron quote from his latest Nike press conference that ensures an exciting 2010 summer.

“I signed a contract in 2006 with an option.  It would make no sense for me to sign that contract if I didn’t keep my options open. I’ll let you fill in the blanks.”

Well, OK LeBron, I’ll fill in the blanks:

“I signed the contract in 2006 with an option so I could leave this piece of shit city for the bright lights of a big city to continue my efforts towards world domination.”

That’s right folks.  LeBron has basically declared he’ll be exploring the free agent market, a mercenary willing to join the right franchise for the right price.  Sounds like a New York kind of guy.

I find it fitting that this announcement was made at a press conference to unveil LeBron’s newest Nike sneaker.  If things go as planned, I have a feeling that the entire city of New York will be thanking corporate America next summer.  Companies like Nike and Gatorade, more than anyone else, will be responsible for the King’s relocation.

Dammn… those are some tight kicks.I bet they run over $180. Which is far casue the King doesnt get that much money from his contract now and he really doesnt have many sponsorships…..(I am being very sarcastic)
